Choosing a flight to Cape Verde follows a set order: first the island where you want to unpack your bags, then the city you depart from, then the date, which weighs more on the price than any trick. From Paris, there are two main options: the direct flight from Orly with Transavia France to Sal, Praia or Boa Vista, or the connection in Lisbon with TAP. In summer, the national carrier also links Paris-CDG to Sal.

Here is what you need to find your way quickly, followed by a detailed island-by-island breakdown.

At a glance

 • Four airports handle international flights: Sal, Boa Vista, Praia (on Santiago island) and São Vicente (Mindelo).
 • From Paris-Orly, TAP also flies to Praia, São Vicente and Boa Vista, with a stopover in Lisbon.
 • This winter, Transavia France offers flights from Paris-Orly to Sal, Praia and Boa Vista. With TAP, Sal can be reached via Lisbon or Porto.
 • This summer, Cabo Verde Airlines links Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle to Sal every week, from 19 June to 25 September 2026, on a Boeing 737 MAX 8.
 • From the regions, Transavia flies Nantes to São Vicente every Friday from 30 October 2026 to 27 March 2027.
 • Benchmark fares listed by TAP on 30 October 2026: €279 return Paris–São Vicente in early June 2027, €283 Paris–Praia at the end of April 2027.
 • The same flight can sometimes cost twice as much depending on the season: Paris–Boa Vista goes from €309 in early November to €585 in early February.
 • Flights between islands are not part of this guide and must be booked separately.

Cape Verde’s airports, including the four that handle international flights.

Which island, which airport

The four gateways do not lead to the same kind of trip, and that should guide your search. Sal and Boa Vista are the two islands with the most frequent flights and are known for beach holidays. Praia and São Vicente have fewer flights but open the door to culture, city life and hiking. To choose between them, our guide on choosing your island based on what you’re looking for compares the atmospheres.

Where to fly from and with whom

TAP offers the most departure cities: Paris-Orly, Nice, Toulouse and Marseille all have fares to the four islands, and Lyon has its own booking page. All these routes go through Lisbon, which makes the travel day longer but gives access to many more departure times. For Sal, TAP has added a route via Porto this winter, useful when connections through Lisbon are full.

From Orly, Transavia France is running flights to Sal, Praia and Boa Vista this winter. From the regions, the new addition is Nantes–São Vicente. Transavia also flies Orly to Sal, and Cabo Verde Airlines has resumed the Paris-CDG–Sal route for summer 2026, every week from 19 June to 25 September. An Orly–Sal flight takes about 6 h 15, compared with a full day when there is a connection. For a complete overview of the terminals, our page on Cape Verde airports details each one.

How much the ticket costs

The fares below are benchmarks recorded on 30 October 2026. They are the “from” prices shown by TAP for return economy tickets, updated within the 48 hours before publication. They may no longer be available when you book, but they clearly show the gap between periods.

The same destination can nearly double in price: Paris–São Vicente drops to €279 in June but rises to €418 at the end of February, and Boa Vista goes from €309 to €585 between November and the February school holidays. Paying less, in practice

 • Aim for spring and early summer: the lowest fares in the table fall in April, May and early June, just when the weather is still pleasant (see Cape Verde’s seasons).
 • Avoid the February and March school holiday weeks, when the same seats cost much more.
 • Compare several departure cities: Toulouse offers €286 to Praia at the end of March, barely more than the €283 from Orly in April.
 • Look at neighbouring islands: if Sal is expensive for your dates, São Vicente or Praia may be cheaper, and the islands can then be connected by plane or ferry.
 • Stay flexible on your departure day: shifting your trip by a week often saves more than any price comparison tool.

Tell us your dates and the island you have in mind, and we will point you to the most suitable period for your budget.

Once on site, islands are connected separately

Plane travelling between the islands of Cape Verde
Between two islands, flying remains the fastest option.

These tickets only take you to one island. To visit a second one, inter-island flights are operated by CVsky since 29 March 2026, and ferries by CV Interilhas, as well as the Nôs Ferry between São Vicente and Santo Antão. Everything is explained in our guide to travelling between the islands. If you would like a local agency to fit these trips around your hotels, we can plan the itinerary with you.

Frequently asked questions

What fees are added to the airfare?

On arrival, the airport security tax (TSA) is best paid online at ease.gov.cv, at 3,400 CVE (about €31), compared with 6,800 CVE (about €62) at the counter. In practical terms, paying it before departure cuts the bill in half. Entry formalities are detailed in our page on visas.

Can you book flight and hotel together?

Yes, as a package through a tour operator, or separately: the ticket with the airline, and accommodation and transfers on site with the local agency. This second option lets you choose the island and dates without being tied to a package.
