An all-inclusive holiday in Cape Verde almost always comes down to choosing between two islands: Sal, the livelier one, and Boa Vista, quieter and wilder. For a week with flights included at a mid-range club, prices observed in November 2026 are around €900 to €1,300 per person, and rise noticeably for adults-only hotels or top-end 5-star resorts. These are prices recorded on a specific date, not guaranteed rates: they vary with travel dates, departure city and availability.

In brief

  • Sal suits you if you want a town within reach (Santa Maria), wind for watersports and easy excursions; Boa Vista suits you if you want long, almost deserted beaches and a resort that becomes your village.
  • Prices observed in November 2026 for 7 nights: from €899 for a simple club with flights included, about €1,250 for the RIU Palace Boa Vista (5-star), and €1,950 to nearly €2,900 for the most upscale properties.
  • The package generally includes flights, transfers and 24-hour full board; the tourist tax is paid on site, €2.50 per person per night, capped at €25.
  • Excursions, meals outside the resort and insurance are at your expense, unless you book a combined tour.
  • From November to April, during high season, the same holiday can vary by several hundred euros depending on the departure date.

Sal or Boa Vista: which island for your all-inclusive stay

Map of Cape Verde and its islands
Map of the Cape Verde archipelago and its islands

Sal is Cape Verde’s beach resort island, with large hotels lined up along long beaches. Santa Maria, the resort town, offers restaurants, bars and shops, but not all the clubs are within walking distance. The wind blows strongly most of the year, which kitesurfers love, with a season from November to May and stronger winds from January to April. If you mainly dream of calm swims, this wind is something to weigh before choosing.

Boa Vista has around 55 km of white-sand beaches, very wild, and the island is quiet outside the resorts. This calm makes it the choice of couples seeking tranquillity and families who plan to stay put. Currents can be strong: swim between the flags and follow the lifeguards’ instructions. From June to October, it is also turtle season.

Prices observed in November 2026

We noted the “from” prices of six all-inclusive hotels in Boa Vista, for 8 days and 7 nights per person. From cheapest to most expensive, the price is multiplied by more than three: the choice of hotel matters far more than the choice of island.

On Sal, the gap is of the same order: the “from” prices recorded for 7 nights range from one to three times between a simple club and a big name.

Hotel (Sal)Starting price, 7 nightsGuests
Club Halos Casa Resort€899Everyone
Meliá Llana Beach Resort & Spa€1,103Adults only
Hôtel Dunas de Sal€1,225Everyone
RIU Palace Santa Maria€2,654Everyone

For shorter stays, a few prices also serve as benchmarks: the Club Framissima VOI Praia de Chaves was listed from €840 for 5 nights departing from Paris on 28 November 2026, and the Barceló Marine from €939 for 5 nights, compared with €1,438 at the crossed-out rate. In March 2027, a week at the Riu Funana in Sal ranges from €1,284 to €2,204 per person depending on the departure day: shifting your flight by a few days can cut the cost by half.

Seasons follow a simple pattern. High season is generally considered to run from November to April, with increases of 30 to 50% at the peaks of Christmas, Carnival and Easter, while May-June and September-October cost 20 to 40% less. A dry one-way Paris-Sal flight costs between €250 and €350 in low season and exceeds €600 at certain periods. Keep in mind that August and September are the rainy season.

What all-inclusive really covers

In most packages, you pay everything in one go: the flight, the airport-to-hotel transfer (about twenty minutes in Sal for the Riu Funana), accommodation and 24-hour full board. Buffets, bars and entertainment are included in the price; an à la carte gourmet restaurant is often an extra.

  • Included: return flights, airport taxes, transfers, meals and drinks within the package, resort activities at no extra charge.
  • To pay extra: booking fees, meals and drinks outside the package, optional excursions, insurance, tips.
  • Tourist tax: €2.50 per person per night from age 16, paid at the hotel, capped at €25 per person.

There is one formality not to forget: EASE registration on ease.gov.cv is mandatory before arrival. The airport security fee (3,400 CVE, about €31, paid online) may be included in your package if your passport details are sent at the time of booking, no later than 7 days before departure. Otherwise, you must pay it yourself, and paying at the counter costs twice as much (6,800 CVE). In practice, for a tourist stay of up to 30 days, French citizens do not need a visa; beyond that, an extension or a visa is required.

Which club to choose, depending on your profile

For a couple who want peace and quiet, an adults-only hotel in Boa Vista (Barceló Marine) offers the most tranquillity, provided you accept the price. For a family, a large resort in Sal such as the Riu Palace Santa Maria offers water slides, with access depending on age and height. For a tighter budget, clubs around €900, such as the Riu Touareg in Boa Vista or the Halos Casa Resort in Sal, offer the essentials of the package for half the price.

When leaving the club is worth it

Spending the whole week in a club is possible: in Boa Vista, everything is designed for it. But clubs are often isolated, and you need to get out to see local life. A few price benchmarks outside the club: a seafront dish in Santa Maria costs €10 to €18, a local beer €1 to €1.50 in a neighbourhood bar, a short taxi ride €2 to €5. In Sal, budget €100 to €150 for extras if you plan a few excursions.

The simplest option is a stay with excursions included: a tour departing from the Barceló Marine, for example, offers three guided half-days, to Santa Monica, the Viana desert and the island’s capital, with meals and tips not included. Our tours and stays work on the same principle. To combine several islands, domestic flights are operated by CVsky, the national airline, with a one-way ticket usually costing €40 to €100.

Torn between staying at the club and putting together a mixed week? Describe your project to our partner agency, and they will suggest a suitable package.

Health and safety on a club holiday

An all-inclusive holiday can be enjoyed with peace of mind, with one simple precaution: a rise in measles cases was reported in March 2026, so it is worth making sure your vaccinations are up to date. We have gathered the useful precautions on our page vaccines and health precautions. To go over everything before you leave, ask the local agency your questions.

Frequently asked questions

Can you depart from Nantes or other regional airports for an all-inclusive holiday?

Yes, some packages depart from many cities. A Boa Vista club offered departures in November 2026 from Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Toulouse, as well as from Brussels and Geneva. Availability varies by date.

Is a 5-star hotel in Cape Verde always all inclusive?

Not always, but the major 5-star resorts in Sal and Boa Vista almost all offer a 24-hour all-inclusive package. The RIU Palace Boavista, for example, has several restaurants and numerous bars. The details of the package vary from one hotel to another: drink brands, à la carte restaurants and spa access.

When is the best time to book?

If your dates are flexible, aim for May-June or September-October, bearing in mind that September is still rainy. If you travel in winter, compare several departure dates before booking: for the same week in March 2027, the price of the same hotel can vary by almost double.
